| The following is a general guide to setting up Microsoft Outlook 2002 to enable you to send and receive e-mails. To use this guide you must already have set up a POP3 mailbox in your Control Panel. When you create your POP3 mailbox you will be given a POP3 mailbox name such as 'm35168943-xx'.
Step 2. Select Add a new e-mail account and then click the 'Next' Button. ![]() Step 3. Select POP3 and then click the 'Next' Button. ![]() Step 4. Now enter your personal details: User Information Your Name: This is the name that you want to appear on the e-mail. E-mail Address: e.g., domain-of-your-choice.com Server Information Incoming mail server (POP3): pop.1and1.com Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.1and1.com Logon Information User Name: m35168943-xx (See your 1&1 Control Panel under 'E-mail' menu) Password: Enter the password you chose after you created your e-mail account. ![]() Step 5. Now click the More Settings Button Step 6. Click on the Outgoing Server tab and then click on My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication ![]() Click OK Step 7.
