How can I export a backup of my database using phpMyAdmin?


To export a backup of your database using phpmyAdmin, follow these steps:

1. Log in to the 1&1 Control Panel. Select the package and click on MySQL database.

2. Click on phpMyAdmin next to the database you would like to backup.

3. Select the database you would like to export.

4. Click on Export.

5. Select the following SQL, Structure, Add AUTO_INCREMENT value, Enclose table and field names with backquotes, Data, Use hexadecimal for binary fields and Save as file. After these have been selected you can select additional options as desired.

6. Click Go.

Note: If the database export does not work correctly you can try to export one table at a time. Select the table from the left side of the MySQL Administration screen and click Export.
