Can I install an SSL Certificate on Windows Server?

You can install an SSL certificate to enable HTTPS connections. However, only one
certificate can be used for each IP address.

The reason for this lies in the conceptual design of host headers. Because the host
header is transmitted as a part of a request, this information is also encrypted
over an SSL connection. The Web server is unable to hand off the request to a
virtual server because it can't recognize the encrypted host header. For this
reason, SSL references to virtual servers must be handled via IP address and port.

Make sure to use the correct domain name when applying for an SSL certificate, as
it is an inherent part of the certificate. The client will put up a warning message
if there is no 100% match between the requested domain name and the domain name of
the certificate. This also applies to the "www." heading.

Open IIS (Internet Information Services manager) -> Expand Web Sites -> right
click the domain and select Properties. Now click the Directory Security tab.
Here you can see Secure Communications.
