Windows Server 2003 configurationHere is an overview of the system configuration: Since newly installed servers always contain the most current safety updates, the data indicated here can deviate from the system installed on your server. Services Internet Information Server 6.0(HTTP- and Ftp Server)inkl. ASP/ASP.NET FrontPage extensions 2002 .NET Framework MSDE Microsoft Desktop engine database ACCESS binding POP3Service DHCP Client (dynamic host Configuration Protocol) Task planner Simple Mail Transport protocol (SMTP) SharePoint Team Services (Standard Edition only) Under C:\install you can find other installation files. You can activate those services if needed. (e.g. Perl, PHP for your application of Web as well as various net Tools). Partitions C: System partition with Windows listing c:\Windows E: Data partition Disabled Services Some services that are normally not needed are stopped for security reasons. You can start individual services again at any time and set the Startup type back to "Automatic" in the Services Manager, should this be required.
