What is Recovery Tool?


In the event of an emergency use the Recovery Tool to issue a hardware reset for
your Windows Server.

If used inappropriately it can lead to the non-availability
of your server and/or loss of data. No guarantee can be given. Also it is not
possible to do a "RESET" if the server is switched off or shut down

1. Log in to the 1&1 Control Panel at: https://admin.1and1.com

If you have only one package, you will land on the Administration page.
If you have more than one package, select the relevant package to reach
its Administration page.


2. Select Recovery Tool from the Server Administration section.

3. Check the box near Reset. Choose the boot mode and click Next.

4. Click Submit.

5. A confirmation is displayed.
