Different types of domain contacts
The contact information for a domain can be easily updated in the Domains section of your Control Panel.

Contact updates only apply to full domains registered through 1&1 Group.
This function is not activated for subdomains and external domains (please contact
your Registrar for the necessary updates.)

There are 3 types of contacts:
1. Reg-C (Domain Registrant)
The Organization that has the rights to use the domain, the person registering the domain.
2. Admin-C (Administrative Contact)
Contact person for the domain for administrative, non-technical matters. Example,
for legal matters, change of ownership, etc.
3. Tech-C (Technical Contact)
Contact person for domain's technical matters. If it is not set up, 1&1
Hostmaster acts as Tech-C for your domains. By default we set Tech-C as a billing
contact (Bill-C).
