What is domain destination?


"Domain destination" refers to the directory to which your domain is currently pointing.

By default, the domains point to the root directory (/). You can set your 1&1
domain to point to a specific directory, or even forward the domain to another URL (website).

What is the purpose of pointing domains to multiple directories?

You can host completely different websites in one package. And this can be achieved
by separating the content of the websites into different directories. Now, to have
the domain get the right content, you can point your domain to the correct directory.
