How do I transfer a domain to 1&1?If you already have a domain registered elsewhere, you can transfer it to 1&1. Then you will be able to use your domain with your 1&1 package and you can take advantage of 1&1's low prices. To transfer your domain to 1&1, please go to your 1&1 Control Panel to start a Transfer of Registrar. 1. Log in to the 1&1 Control Panel at: https://admin.1and1.com If you have only one package, you will land on the Administration page. If you have more than one package, select the relevant package to reach its Administration page. 2. Select Domains from the Basic Settings section. ![]() 3. Click New. ![]() 4. Enter the domain name you wish to transfer and click Check Domain. ![]() 5. Choose Transfer of registrar to 1&1. Domains have a registration period of 1 year and the prices can be found in our Domain Price List., check the box for Terms & Conditions and click Next. ![]() 6. Choose Public or Private Registration. (More information on Private Registration can be found at Private Registration. Also enter your authorization code which you received from your other registrar. Click Next if the information is correct. ![]() 7. You can choose to stay with the current DNS settings or choose 1&1 DNS. Click Next. ![]() 8. Check the box under Please Confirm Ownership and click Order ![]() You will receive an e-mail addressed to the Reg-C or Admin-C contact listed in the WHOIS of your domain. Once the acknowledgment for a transfer is received, 1&1 will start the actual transfer process, which usually takes from 7 to 10 days.
