Adding a guestbook to your web site


To add a guestbook to your web site follow the steps below:

Step 1: Log in to the 1&1 Control Panel at: https://admin.1and1.com

If you have only one package, you will land on the Administration page.
If you have more than one package, select the relevant package to reach
its Administration page.


Step 2: Select Basic CGIs from the Website Applications section.


Step 3: Select the Create a CGI Form button and select Guestbook. Select the Next button.



Step 4: Give the guestbook a name and click on Next.



Step 5: Next make the basic settings for your forum. Using the “Moderator approval” option, you can define whether all entries should automatically be released (default setting: No), or whether you should decide which entries to release. Once you have finalized your settings, click on OK.



Step 6: Using the Design Guestbook form, you can modify the appearance of the forum to meet the needs of your web page. Select the OK button.



Step 7: Your guestbook is now complete. You will see links displayed for the integration of your guestbook.

Step 8: Mark the HTML source code with the mouse and copy the text to the clipboard. To paste the HTML source code in your web page, position the cursor where the text and paste the text.

Step 9: The final step is to republish the page on your web space.

Please note: Please make sure that you do not use the Administrator link when embedding the code.
