Does it cost anything to move a domain from one package to another?


The only time you will be charged for a domain transfer from one package to another is if you are moving the domain between different accounts or if the price of the domain was included with the package (1&1 was paying the registration fee) and you have no more free slots for domain names in the package that the domain is being transferred to. For example: If you get 5 free domains with package x and you move them to package y that only has 3 free domains you will be charged for those extra 2.

The 1&1 Control Panel will inform you of the current domain registration charge before completing the domain transfer, if charges apply. You will not be charged until you have clicked the "Order" button through the Control Panel.
