What is an auto-responder?


An auto-responder is a feature that allows you to automatically generate
customized responses whenever a specific e-mail address receives an e-mail.

Use the 1&1 auto-responder to let people know you are on vacation or
unavailable. Auto-responders are also ideal for acknowledging receipt of
an e-mail. You can even arrange an individual responder with up to
1,000 characters for every e-mail address.

Note
The mail system sends only one auto responder per sender per day.
This means that if someone e-mails an address twice in one day they will
still only receive the auto response once.
