What are e-mail headers?


E-mail headers are the first part of an e-mail message containing controlling and meta-data such as the subject, origin, destination, path, and priority.

1. Right-click the e-mail message in the folder view, then select Properties.

2. In the properties box select the Details tab. The text box with a scroll bar is the e-mail headers.

1. Right-click the e-mail message in the folder view, then select Options.

2. The text box with a scroll bar, marked Internet Headers, is the e-mail headers.

1. Open the e-mail in the 1&1 Webmail application.

2. Click Show Details
