How to manually setup an Exchange Account with Outlook 2007To Manually Setup an Exchange Account with Outlook 2007 follow these instructions: 1. Go to Window’s Control Panel and double-click on Mail. ![]() 2. Click on Show Profiles. ![]() 3. Be sure to opt for Prompt for a profile to be used then click on Add. ![]() 4. Give the Exchange Profile a Name and click on OK. ![]() 5. Another window will open (Add New E-mail Account window). Just supply the required information Your Name: The Name of the Exchange account holder Email Address: The Exchange Email address or the Email Alias Password: The Exchange Email address password *Note: Be sure to tick on Manually configure server settings or additional server types so that the Next button will be activated. ![]() 6. Next, opt for Microsoft Exchange and click on Next. ![]() 7. Fill in the following information and click on More Settings: Microsoft Exchange server : ntxbeus01 or ntxbeus02 Username : e number (exxxxxxxxx) ![]() 8. After a few seconds a message is displayed. ”The action could not be completed. The connection to the Microsoft exchange server is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action”. Click OK ![]() 9. A window with Microsoft Exchange Server name and Mailbox name pops up. Click OK. ![]() 10. Go to Connection tab. Check the box for Connect to my Exchange mailbox using HTTP and click on Exchange Proxy Settings… Note: This option will not show up if you don't have the hotfix installed. You should either have Service Pack 2 or Service Pack 1 + Hotfix The hotfix can be downloaded from https://exchange.1and1.com/setup ![]() 11. Under Connection settings type in the following: exchange.1and1.com for Use this URL to connect to my proxy server for Exchange: msstd:exchange.1and1.com for Only connect to proxy servers that have this…… Then choose on Basic Authentication for Proxy authentication settings ![]() 12. Click OK -> Apply -> OK -> Next and Finish 13. Open Outlook 2007 and launch the newly created profile. ![]() |
