Can I access my new 1&1 package immediately?


Your hosting features should be ready within a few hours after you have placed your order, however your domain name may take longer to be useable on the Internet. Within that time you are able to upload and setup your website. Each 1&1 hosting account has an included free subdomain name such as s12345678.onlinehome.us which you can use straight away.

Domain registrations take at least 24-48 hours or the shortest time that the account registration will need. However, this can take longer due to occasional technical difficulties or errors with your registration. You can check the status of your registration via the 1&1 Control Panel.

The domain name will take approximately 48 hours or the shortest time that the account registration will need to become fully visible to all computers on the Internet. This is the time needed by the DNS (Domain Name Server) to send out the new location of your site.
