What information is required to make a SSH connection?



You will need the following information to make an SSH connection:

1. Hostname (your domain name)
2. User name
3. Password

You can find the above information as follows:
1. Log in to the 1&1 Control Panel at: https://admin.1and1.com

If you have only one package, you will land on the Administration page.
If you have more than one package, select the relevant package to reach
its Administration page.


2. Select SSH from the Web Space & Access section.

3. The information is displayed here.

The Host Name can be any of your domains(pointing to 1&1 DNS) or subdomains.
