What are each of the Webparts?



gif Announcements Use the Announcements list to post messages on the home page of your site.
gif Contacts Use the Contacts list for information about people that your team works with.
gif General Discussion Use the General Discussion to hold newsgroup-style discussions on topics relevant to your team.
gif Shared Documents Share a document with the team by adding it to this document library.
gif Events Use the Events list to keep informed of upcoming meetings, deadlines, and other important events.
gif Links Use the Links list for links to Web pages that your team members will find interesting or useful.
itlink.gif Tasks Use the Tasks list to keep track of work that you or your team needs to complete.
gif Page Viewer Web Part You can use the Page Viewer Web Part to display a Web page, file, or directory on a Web Part Page. You enter either a hyperlink, file path, or directory name to link to the content.
gif XML Web Part You can use the XML Web Part to display Extensible Markup Language (XML) and apply Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformations (XSLT) to the XML before the content is displayed.
gif Image Web Part You can use the Image Web Part to add a picture or graphic to a Web Part page. To more easily coordinate the image with other Web Parts on the page, you can control the vertical alignment, horizontal alignment, and background color of the image inside the Image Web Part by modifying its custom properties in shared view.
gif Members Use the Members Web Part to see a list of the site members and their online status.
gif Form Web Part You can use the Form Web Part to connect to and filter a column of data in another Web Part. Both Web Parts must run on the site server.
gif Content Editor Web Part You can use the Content Editor Web Part to add formatted text, tables, hyperlinks, and images to a Web Part Page.
gif Surveys Surveys provide a way of polling team members.



Note: You cannot install custom webparts.
