How to completely delete a user from a SharePoint Web


If you have deleted a user, yet receive the following error message when trying to recreate the user account:

“Cannot add the user because a user with that name already exists”

You will likely have to remove the user from the Manage Site Collection Users page.
To see that page, use the following URL:

http://YourDomainName/_layouts/1033/Siteusrs.aspx

Please note: Because you are hosted in a shared environment, not all user
names may be available to you. If the user name that you are trying to add for the
first time is showing this message, it is likely that another customer has already
used that user name.
