Why do I get disconnected when attempting to upload a large file?


Due to extensive security, we currently place limits on the number of connections that can be initiated on a single host. If there are too many failed attempts to log in via SSH or FTP from one computer, we firewall the computer systems IP. Xinetd has to be restarted and during that all existing SSH and FTP sessions are killed. Xinetd is the internet services daemon which is restarted for security purposes. In an effort to surpass this feature, please create a file with the following line:

AllowStoreRestart on

Please name this file .ftpaccess
