How do I upload files to 1&1 Web space?


There are various methods that you can use to upload your website files onto your
web space. You will need 3 pieces of information:
1. Your Hostname
2. Your FTP User name
3. Your FTP Password

Your FTP Hostname is your domain name. For example, if your domain name is
http://www.1and1faqs.com, your FTP Hostname will be 1and1faqs.com

Your FTP User name and FTP password can be found in your 1&1 Control Panel under
Web Space & Access -> FTP Account.

Most Website programs have a built-in FTP function. If you have this you can
normally just enter the Host Name, FTP User name and FTP password and click publish.

However if FTP is not built-in you can use any FTP Program such as WISE-FTP,
WS-FTP, Cute-FTP, etc.
