What is URL masking?


1&1 technology allows URL masking for your domain. This means that www.yourdomain.com
is still displayed in the web browser address bar even if your site is hosted at another
location. This is particularly important when redirecting external domain names to 1&1
servers.

With 1&1 packages URL masking cannot be turned on or off. If your package
supports URL masking it is always on. If it does not support URL masking it is
always off.
