What is Virus Guard?

All 1&1 e-mail accounts are protected by Virus Guard from Symantec, which
checks your incoming e-mails before they arrive in your mailbox. Whenever a virus
is detected, the attachment is removed. You'll receive immediate notification by
e-mail and be able to contact the sender. Virus Guard, which is now referred to as Virus Protection, recognizes the most diverse
viruses, worms and Trojan horses, and detects mobile code such as Java, ActiveX
and stand-alone script-based threats. Script Blocking detects script-based threats
such as the "I Love You" and "Anna Kournikova" viruses, even before new virus
definitions are created for them.
